"I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus."
- 1 Corinthians 1:4
During this time of thanksgiving, the 8th Grade class reflects on what they appreciate most about their time at St. Mary's.
I’m thankful for Father Clyde because he helps bring us closer to God. I’m also thankful for him because no matter the situation, he will get us to church. I’m thankful that he comes up with fun ideas to strengthen our friendship with God.
I am thankful for Chromebooks because they allow me to be more organized. Chromebooks don’t only allow me to be more organized, Chromebooks give me access to Google, so I can search any questions. Chromebooks immediately give me the correct answer. Chromebooks also help me to write neater than on paper.
I am thankful for art class because it lets me be creative and learn new skills. It helps me express myself in drawing or coloring. It is a fun part of my week. It always makes me happy. Every topic of art we do is always fun and creative. I love all types of art, and the class helps me expand my ability.
I am thankful for Mrs. Grabert because she is always nice to me, and she always helps me when I need it. She is good at her job, and when she teaches us, I always understand it.
I am thankful for Father Clyde because he’s always striving to help the school, inspiring us to follow God, and always putting a smile on everyone’s face. Father Clyde encourages me to deepen my faith, and he’s always there to help others. He’s always in a positive mood and tries to brighten everyone’s day.
I am thankful for my teachers because they help me learn new things and help me be kind like them.
I am very thankful for this 8th grade class because I have such amazing teachers and friends. I’m also thankful that this is my last year of middle school.
I’m thankful for my friends because I don’t feel lonely.
Before having Mrs. Duet as a teacher, I never thought I could have enjoyed English, but now I look forward to her classes.
Mrs. Torres is one of my favorite teachers that I have ever had. I also liked 4th grade because I could start getting choice at lunch. It always taught me how to keep up with the teachers when we are taking notes.
I’m thankful for all the events we’ve had as a class, like field trips and community work.
There is always someone ready for us and that puts a smile on my face. To me, that’s what counts.
I have made lots of friends and have made lots of memories. Some have taught me lessons and others have showed me the rewards of making good decisions. I will never forget about my memories I have made at this school.
I have made lots of friends at St. Mary’s. I first came to this school in 5th grade, and since then, I have developed some of the best friendships of my life. I have had had lots of experiences at school that have taught me important lessons.
I appreciate our Chromebooks because they give me the opportunity to learn new things.
I chose classrooms because we have had to move classrooms three times this year.
